Seeing Beyond the Headlines
Human trafficking is often misunderstood. Most people only see what the news reports—big rescues, criminal mugshots, or sensationalized Hollywood portrayals. But what about the survivors we never hear from? The ones whose stories don’t make headlines? The ones still trapped, unseen, unheard?
That’s why this program is called Through Their Eyes—because to truly understand human trafficking, we have to stop looking at it from the outside and start seeing it from the perspective of those who have lived it.
A Name Rooted in Experience
This isn’t just another training course filled with statistics and definitions. Through Their Eyes is built on real survivor stories, combined with expert insights, to give people a deeper, more human understanding of trafficking. Instead of just learning what trafficking is, this program helps people experience what it feels like—the manipulation, the fear, the loss of control, and ultimately, the journey to survival.
For too long, survivors’ voices have been overlooked in favor of simplified narratives. This program changes that. Every lesson, every module, every interview is designed to place the audience inside the world of those who have suffered and survived.
Challenging Assumptions
By looking through their eyes, we shatter misconceptions:
🚫 “Why didn’t they just run?”
🚫 “Trafficking only happens overseas.”
🚫 “It’s just about sex trafficking.”
Instead, we uncover the truth:
✔️ Many victims can’t escape due to psychological, financial, or physical control.
✔️ Trafficking happens everywhere—in homes, workplaces, and online.
✔️ Labor trafficking, familial trafficking, and digital exploitation are just as real and devastating as sex trafficking.
Why This Name Matters
Because this isn’t about us - it’s about them.
Because no one should have to fight for their story to be heard.
Because when we start seeing the world Through Their Eyes, we stop looking away.
This program is more than education - It’s a call to action. To listen. To learn. To see differently. And, most importantly, to help change the story for those still trapped in silence.
